184A Knockcroghery Claiming H'dle

Prior to the meeting, the Raceday Stewards approved a request from Clerk of the Course, Mr. S. Ryder, to amend the distance of this race to 3m 149yards, due to operational reasons.

A representative of Gordon Elliott, trainer of Garnetot (FR), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge burst blood vessels.

184B Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dle

H.E. Sexton, rider of Frankie's Freebie, trained by Adrian Sexton, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure approximately 100 yards from the finish. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

C.G. O'Dwyer, rider of Online Order, trained by Liam P Cusack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

Anna McGuinness, rider of Sea Feliz, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount never travelled.

184C1 Shanagher Hearing M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Firebrand (GER), trained by John J.Nallen, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

184C2 Shanagher Hearing M'dn H'dle

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Manoir De Mirande (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered by a loose horse.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn for home involving Minella Moon Shine, ridden by D. King, and World As One (GER), ridden by S.F. O'Keeffe where it appeared Minella Moon Shine ran short of room on the inner. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. King stated that his mount was a big green horse and over reacted to the pressure on his outer but he never had to stop riding and it didn't affect him. S.F. O'Keeffe stated that he was following the loose horse when his mount fell in a little for two strides at the point of the bend but he felt he left room on his inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

184F Roscommon Herald H'cap H'dle

Prior to the meeting, the Raceday Stewards approved a request from Clerk of the Course, Mr. S. Ryder, to amend the distance of this race to 3m 149yards, due to operational reasons.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Where Are You Now, trained by E. Bolger, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards considered an objection from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr.P.L. Malone, who reported that C.P. Millar, rider of Fair Damsel, placed fifth weighed in 5lbs light. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he felt his saddle shift in the straight and lost a pad and a lead cloth at that point. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards using their powers under Rule 231(i), disqualified Fair Damsel from fifth place and ordered the stake forfeited. As a consequence, they amended the result to read as follows:

A. Harvey, rider of Woodie Campelltown, trained by Rosemary Connors, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left.

184G I.S.F. EBF(M)(Ladies P-Am) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms A.M. Connolly, rider of Bayswater Bloom, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the whip regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken her clean record into account suspended the rider for three race days.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss N. Lockhead Anderson, rider of Likeyouhaveplenty, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she used the whip when her chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(b) (out of contention) and having taken her clean record into account suspended her for two race days.
